MEET DR. KRISTIN A LOYD, APRN, PHD, BC-ADM

Dr. Kristin Loyd, APRN, PhD, BC-ADM, is a primary care nurse practitioner who specializes in medical weight loss, diabetes, hormones balancing, thyroid issues, mental health, ADHD, Men’s and Women’s Health services, and more. She is board certified in advanced diabetes and obesity management, as well as a nutritionist, Wichita medical provider, and an individual with diabetes.

Kristin has 16 years of experience in the medical field. After earning her bachelor’s degree at Wichita State University in Wichita, Dr. Loyd went on to graduate from Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas, with a Master of Health Science. She moved back to Wichita, completing her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Wichita State University. While her roles in health care have changed over the years, her passion and commitment to a holistic approach to medical care has remained fixed.

She serves people all over Kansas at the office and through telehealth. Dr. Loyd offers primary care aimed at the wellness of the whole body and prevention of disease, but it is also common for patients to get appointments solely for primary care, weight loss, hormones, diabetes, etc. while keeping their same primary care doctor.

Dr. Loyd provides the kind of medical care that empowers her clients make better decisions and live in a way that serves their health long-term. For patients with chronic conditions, she works with them to help them reclaim their vitality and get back in control of their health. Patients often say Dr. Loyd is a good listener, helpful, thorough, and caring.

In addition to patient care, Dr. Loyd is passionate about using food as medicine. She has published three books, including two cookbooks and a health-tracking journal. In an effort to get free information out to the public, she has released 24 nutrition education videos made by Shocker Studios.
